Beans and Berries was founded by Paige and (Danny) Scully in February of 2008, with the intention to provide downtown Asheville with a happy place to order something nutritious to drink. The first location was 13 Broadway. Paige and Danny are also the owners of Scully’s Signature Dine and Drink at 13 Walnut Street.
At just the right time, just the right new location showed up at 165 North Merrimon, just a few blocks north of town. A new partner, Jason, stepped in and the lease was signed. The new Beans and Berries, with breakfast, lunch, salad bar, inside and outside seating, and wifi opened to a steady stream of customers May 21, 2009.
As luck would have it, Paige’s mom Breah is a graphic designer who specializes in branding and voila! The Berry was born! It’s a family affair.
